Dida Sode

YEAAA BOIII we're back from another AMAZING week in Paraguarí. Why was it amazing??

Cuz ya boi has 20 years down baby, and you people are amazing for all the letters and love I got from you guys. It felt good feelin' the love (single tear) but let's not forget who's the most amazing of all.

We were in ITA playing futbol with the zone leaders and wow oh wow, I have a package. I had to wait till I got back to Paraguari to open it, because I'm not opening that thing there and feeling obligated to share with people. Open that puppy up and BOOM, the family with another out of the park package.

Chips, a ful de oatmeal, candy, the sweetest and most needed rain jacket there ever was, and at the bottom...gold....well it's the color of gold. I had my companion and Elder G and Elder F around me as I was opening it. When we saw the two circular containers at the bottom, the room dropped dead silent. I reached in, past all the oatmeal packets and cookies as they were all of a sudden in the back of my mind. I grabbed on and slowly pulled out one of the two containers. Along the top, in bright red letters 'Chic-fil-a Sauce.' We looked at each other, and in the next moment, everyone in the room lost it. OOOHHHHHHH NOOOOO WAYAAYYYYYY. DEEDAAVVVOOOOOO: DIDA CHOLLEEEEEE. ELDER ELDER ELDER YO LE AMO SU MAMA SU MAMA ES CAPA ITE. It was the greatest thing ever. We're excited to have miloneasa with that bad boy.

We also had a great laugh when I pulled out the general conference Ensign in Spanish that is identical to the 30 we have in the house we´re trying to hand out. But I still loved it.

The work was really great here this week. Elder V and I are working really hard and have found a lot of new people. We cleaned the area book and list of members, and are planning on finding a ton of part member families.

Not a whole lot more than that. I did make a list of "Crazy, wow, I'm in Paraguay things that happened so I'll leave you with that."

Vendors balancing stacks of doughnuts 7 high on a completely unstable collective.

Bags of live pigs and chickens squirming as the owners are trying to sell or just wait for them to die.

Bald, dirty babies eating weed stickers off my pant leg during a lesson in a house made out of plywood and tarp.

It's hot ALL THE TIME and if you think otherwise like I did one day, you get a look from the locals like you just spoke aposticia.

My companion, the Peruvian Mario.

Dogs super confused when you show them love and scratch their heads instead of slapping, kicking, or throwing mangoes at them.

All my love,
Elder Yocum
