La Semana Santa

Sharing a laugh with Elder Parker before sending him off on the plane.

So first off, I got the Easter package which was awesome, thank you so much for that. You were right about the "Lamb of God." Not only have I been hooked on it but also all the staff members in the office.  It's hilarious, but so, so spiritual... so I guess it's not that hilarious....

Elder Yocum has made so many wonderful, lifelong friends

Yeah, it was the WEIRDEST WEEK. I think I was grumpy because it was such a roller coaster. We said goodbye to such a big group and sooo many of them have become so close to me, some even my companions. I even said goodbye to my trainer. It is so weird to think they aren't in the mission anymore.

Sending his trainer, Elder B home

But after that we just had all the new missionaries come, it was a ton of sisters and just a few elders from the states....

Yesterday we had our consejo de lideres (leadership training) and it went really well.  We are excited for the changes we are going to see in the mission and Elder C and I are excited to be able to train the new Zone leaders because there are a lot, and many very young as well.

I learned something this week, that when you are down in the dumps or stressed out or unhappy, it's prob because you aren't doing the little things that the soul needs to feel the warmth of the gospel. I'm grateful for the experiences that I've had to help me learn valuable life lessons like that that I'll always be able to remember.

We had a great week of work.  There was a white wash in our area with the other Elders in Libertad, so it was a week of looking and backing up the investigators that the other elders had and being able to work with a lot of people for the pascua. If you guys haven't seen those videos that the church put out, go look 'em up.

I hope you all enjoy this Easter season and look to come to know Christ a little better.

I also learned something this week! I don't know if I ever told you guys, but a year ago Elder C and I made a song about Paso Yobai, just something we did during a p-day (preparation day/day off) that we kept on our cameras. But something I didn't know was that before he left he gave the song to the office and the office gave it to like EVERY missionary and it BLEW UP like a mission viral song.  So with every wave of conferences, all the new missionaries are like, WOW, I HEARD YOUR SONG and it's just weird but also funny. I don't know if I ever told you guys about it, but I now mention it, because I figured out that I can now send through email, and I wanted to be able to give you guys a taste.
