Justin Beiber isn't that bad of a guy

Awesome week in the boonies of Paraguay! At least that's what Elder C says. I don't know, I guess my whole mission has been in the campo, and that is just what all of Paraguay is like for me.  But, Elder C made it clear that it is equivalent to the rednecks in the states. And wow, that makes so much more sense. Sometimes, I think he feels like he is in another country, and it's hilarious.

Elder B trudging through the mud on the road to the chapel in San Antonio

Man, it was a really awesome week, with a whole lot of learning. A TON of mud, wow so much mud, and even better, a ton of Guarani. Before, I was saying a few words.  Now, I can make sentences and even say prayers in Guarani, and that gets the people really hyped to see a white boy doing that. We spent a lot of time in San Antonio this last week making big moves with the ward and helping them out a lot this week.  We also did a lot of finding and found some cool surprises and the history of Paso Yobai just gets clearer and clearer. We found some recent converts that we didn't even know existed and some new investigators and cool people to visit.

It was an amazing week with LA, and he came to church again. He is loving the lessons in Guarani, and this week even said, "I know without a doubt that this is the right church and the church of God.... I am convinced!  But now, I want to wait until I'm converted from God." DUDE, JUST GET BAPTIZED ALREADY. I love that guy so much, but he is really helping me develop patience. We didn't know if he was going to come to church this week because he might have work, until we got a call at 12 from him asking us where we were and that he was in front of our house. (CHURCH doesn't start until 3) We told him we would be there later. On the way down the hill from the church up the mountain, we totally lost Elder C's bike pedal (that's how muddy it was, like riding through sludge) and as we were walking into Paso Yobai, there is trusty old LA on his bike LOOKING FOR PRESIDENT'S HOUSE TO CONFIRM THE REUNION TIME. CAPO.

This week we also had a surprise visit from the assistants and President and Hermana W! What!?! Good thing we cleaned the night before. It was so funny, they met us at the chapel in San Antonio and the look on Hermana W's face was priceless when she saw how dirty we were.  On the way back down the mountain, the 4 wheel drive truck we were in got stuck in the mud--and there's 4 missionaries and their president, pushing a truck in the mud and getting covered. Unforgettable!

I also had my interview with president and it was really cool talking to him. He is a spiritual giant, and it is awesome to see how much he cares about Paso Yobai.

That's a lot of what happened this week. We also had a sweet activity and consejo be rama. Paso Yobai is poppin' as always.

Elder Parker Yocum

Oh, yeah! About that subject line. Elder C let me know he was actually a pretty cool guy.  They were able to talk as he was his pilot when the Bieber was flying to Argentina and they spent some time casually chatting for a few hours. I guess he feels pretty bad about the peeing in the bucket and speed driving situations.
