Another One

Well this week was very frustrating and stressful.  That's how you know it was another week in the mission, I guess. We just had to deal with a bunch of drama and stuff that was not related to missionary work, and lost a lot time and effort going into things that really other people should do and it showed on Sunday and with investigators. Yeah, annoying. But Sunday exists to start the week over.

I've learned that without God, there is really no reason to have patience or be humble.  But luckily, God exists, and when we have patience and are humble enough we can see the little rays of gold that bless us. So, let's take a look on those this week.

1. I am offically referred to as "the Paraguayan" due to the God given gift to now be able to teach, testify, and pray in comprehendible Guarani.

2. Hrma L, the lady who does my laundry and makes sure I never leave her house with a stomach that isn't painfully full. A very humble family and hrma, got her fake teeth this week. She is now one of 3 people I know with a full set of teeth in Paso Yobai and the leading member in terms of number of teeth. We were super happy for her. It shows that at least one family isn't spending all their extra money to buy booz.

3. I learned how to use excel this week and other aspects of the church leadership that will be useful after the mission.

4. We finished cleaning the G's farm so they can now plant.

5. I can whistle now, but still far from Grandpa W.....still working at it.

The truth is that even in the hardest circumstances in which we find ourselves..... if we are humble enough, if we are patient enough....if we look, we find the goodness and light from God that allows us to make our burdens light.

It's a new week, so smile people.
