Another big shout out to a huge influence on my life, THE Kevin Yocum. Happy birthday Dad, hope you guys were able to celebrate well today and thanks for all the many things you have been able to teach me through word and example. I love you a whole lot and hope that there is much learning more that has to be done from you.
As for the mission, we just keep plugging along. We had a really awesome week with a lot of interaction with the missionaries either in district meetings and divisions. It has taught me a lot of good things about Leadership. One of the attributes of Christ is that he was a hands on leader who was not afraid of developing intimate friendships. He did not lead from afar but was in the mix with the disciples. We were able to have a really positive week with Elders and Leaders in looking in how to better the mission and help more people live Christ like lives.
Christ had so many attributes that are so important to strive to develop. It is so interesting that God not only gave us ways to learn about those, but time and opportunities to be able to develop them. It truly makes us all students of life and requires our firm dedication and attention our whole live to develop these things. With the many responsibilities that there are, it has been to beautiful to see how willing God has been to bless us and help us do all of the things we need to do and still be able to help other investigators at the same time. It all seems like an association of where we put our priorities. I remember feeling overwhelmed a few weeks ago and then reading in the Doctrine and Covenants, which was a part when God promised a missionary that if he magnified his calling, God would help him fulfill his office. I have been called to preach repentance and baptize converts. and while we have focused on that, it is humbling to see how he can help us fulfill our assignment or office that we have as helpers to President. His blessings are real, and he is waiting to get them to every one of us.
Hope everyone is enjoying the heat and the summer,
