This week was incredible. We got a visit from Elder Rasband from the Quorum of the 12 and Elder Christiansen of the 70.

 

The focus of the meeting had to do with the dedicatory prayer of Paraguay for the preaching of the gospel and all the blessings that are in store for this country and the people here. He talked about the need to step up the work here because the Lord is ready for it to hasten. We need to testify, challenge, and invite more and with more power. It was so cool shaking his hand and hearing from him. 

The area of my studies this last week was the focus on the atonement of Jesus Christ and what exactly that means for all of us. My interesting find of the week was in Alma 34 as we learn that Christ did not just satisfy the demands of justice but with MERCY, OVERPOWERED justice. Thus, we learn that the binding forces of the universe and God are not equal..... the cold demands of justice does not reign king over all, demanding with exactness--but with the victory of Christ over death, crowned not only Himself, but also LOVE and CHARITY as the dominating forces of the universe and the principal characteristics of both God and Christ. 

Love--the love our Savior has for us, is truly the strongest, and is the ultimate trump.

I am thankful everyday for that love, and pray and hope that the power of that love finds every one of you this week.
